Check that an editing certificate is genuine.
Every Content Editing certificate has a unique verification code, printed under a QR code. Enter the code above, or scan the QR code with a phone, to confirm that the certificate is genuine and to see the document it was issued for.
Journal editors, university staff and funding bodies sometimes ask for proof that a manuscript or thesis was professionally edited. They can use this page to check the certificate without contacting us.
A valid code shows the certificate details recorded when the order was completed, such as the document title, the service and the date. If a code is not found, check that it was typed exactly as printed, including any dashes.

Verification only shows the certificate details needed to confirm it is genuine. It never gives access to the customer's document, which stays private and is only opened by the people working on the order. Certificates are issued automatically when an order is completed, so every genuine certificate can be checked against our records at any time.
